Attachment:

Attach the FenderStep to your boat and use only as follows:

Separately tie two minimum diameter 10mm (3/8") ropes using a carefully formed bowline knot to each rope hold.

Securely tie the other end of each rope to suitable strongpoints on the boat, never use only a single point.

Ensure the step is level and that all the knots are fully secure prior to every use.

Do not use the FenderStep for any loads exceeding a total 100kgs or 225lbs.

Inflation:

If your FenderStep has been supplied deflated the simplest way to correctly inflate it is to use the Dan-Fender adaptor (available from your supplier) to connect to an airline or suitable pump:

Alternatively you can use a standard air compressor fitted with an accessory air pistol and then:

Remove the plastic screw.

Press the air pistol against the metal valve.

Do not overinflate the FenderStep, it should remain easy to make a small “dent” when pressed with a thumb

Replace the protective plastic screw.

You may also carefully inflate with a handpump fitted with a fine plastic (not metal) nozzle, but take care not to damage the valve insert.

We recommend the DAN-FENDER pump as shown below:
